Or maybe you don't see it at the LLWS b/c it's not smart, effective, or how one teaches players to be good at baseball . . . so teams that teach or permit this @#$%# don't make it to the LLWS . . .

Ding! Ding! Ding!
We have a winner.

Bullcrap REC ball BS.

Dear commissioner:

If you want me out here, I'm going to stop that type of crap (rules or no rules). If you want Bubba from down the bayou with his Sears pants, wallet chain, cell phone on his belt, Yankees hat, and terrible abilities, keep it up and I'm outta here.

Your choice.

2) "No defensive sense in changing positions" is irellevant and not up to you. If the team wishes to change they can. Strikes/Balls safes/outs are your job, not the manager's. Positioning the defense is the manager's job, not yours.

You are grasping at straws in order to inject a personal morality into the game.
No, Rich, I won't, for three reasons:

1- My report will emphasize that this was taunting action of an unsportsmanlike nature directed at the other [losing] team, which iirc LLBB/inc. has a specific Rule about, and in any event is ejectable under any Rules Code; and

2- I will mention in my Report the G_D Rule [not 9.01c, wait for it ..] 9.01b [or the applicable Code equivalent - they all have one]:

"Each umpire has authority to order a player, coach, manager or club officer or employee to do or refrain from doing anything which affects the administering of these rules ...."

Once I order them to knock it off and I get the response that SS and F3 aren't doing it, NOW it's two other players ..... AT LEAST the head rat is on his way to the bus.

-AND-

3- In the real world, this a-hole's team is still gonna win the game after I eject him, and probably the SS [who I'm gonna bet is his son], so the "Protest" will never even be heard, since it had no effect on the outcome of the game.

This is about people interfering with YOUR ablility administer the rules. Just how does a play, BS or otherwise, interfere with your ability to administer the rules? Before it can do that there has to be a rule you re trying to administer - and here there isn't one.

Just because you don't like a play it doesn't give you license to try to find a reason to kill it.

Rich, even you know that kind of thing is unsportsmanlike. You just always feel the need to bust everybody's chops. Unsportsmanlike conduct is what the umpire deems it to be. If players are playing f-f on my ballfield, I will make them stop. Typical LL BS, like others have said. They outlawed good old-fashioned chatter, but allow this kind of crap? I wouldn't.

If this isn't happening during the pitch, then it has to be delaying the game, if it isn't delaying the game, then let these idiots look like idiots.

The second it starts slowing the game down, I am putting a stop to it. If the pitcher is turning around waiting for them to swap, then it is slowing the game down.....
