Re: Conundrum

In the OP the out was called BEFORE the reversal at 1B. It was correct at that moment.

Re: Conundrum

Seems reasonable to change the out to R2. Put R1 on 2B.

Re: Conundrum

R1 and R2 were both on the base. R1 was out as he was the trail runner.

Re: New LL Rules

Pitcher did not need rest for 1-20 before. The new part is the 3 days bit.

Starters now have to re-enter in the same spot in the order.

Re: Is this an out?

No. This is not about a catch or non-catch. Get beyond that. The words that apply are in the MLBUM and PBUC. Dead ball - award appropriate bases - no outs.

Re: Glove Statement for Fed

You sure on that? If F3 charges for a bunt and F4 covers 1B you're saying F3 needs to switch to a regular glove?

Re: Run down between Third / Home "Obstruction" question

You can't UPHOLD a protest that is in a judgement call. But what if the umpire insists it is judgement and it' really a rules misinterpretation?

Accept it. Let the committee sort it out.

Re: Run down between Third / Home "Obstruction" question

The rule should read "No protest shall be UPHELD if it is based on a judgement call".

Any protest fee is bu!!sh!t. ...

Re: Run down between Third / Home "Obstruction" question

They have to hear it. You don't even know if it is truly a judgement call until you hear it.

"In my judgement there was no Int/Obs because there was no contact".

Umpire thinks it's a judgement...
