I'm confused on the question. Why would you do anything differently?

Yea why would you do anything different except for any special rules that are published for torny play. Conduct your regular plate meeting as you always do, and umpire the best game of your life ever.

Don't think about it as anything but another game.
Make sure you are familiar with the tournament rules that are in effect and call balls, strikes and outs as any other game.
Make sure you conduct a good pre-game meeting with your partners.
We do All Stars 3 and 4 man so it is important to remind everyone of the rotations.

Yep - make sure you read the section in the Green Book regarding Tournament Play. Also, as Semper mentioned, if you are using three or four person crew make sure you pregame all the rotations and touch, tag, appeal responsibilities.
I have a couple of Primers I got from Richard on three and four person mechanics that are very concise and great. They can even be used during a pregame session if you have enough time. PM me if you are interested and I'll email them to you.
One last thing, relax. Take your time on your calls, remember timing, which is proper use of the eyes to make the call. See it, visualize it, call it.
Have fun.

The game went well...
2 things tho, rules so no decals on helmets and the one team had like their town logo on the front of their helmets. I didn't have a problem and my partner did. Obviously I'm not going to go against what he says... do you agree?
Another thing; there was a batter batting out of order. But before he completed hi at bat it was corrected and the correct batter resumed that at bat with the count of the other batter. Was that the right call?

You should know this. Are they partnering untrained umps with trained umps? That's good if they have no one else but you need to hit the books and not hit this board for the answers to your questions. Did they give you a book or training? BTW, yes it was the right call.

I have worked these as both an umpire and league official. The helmets normally would have been nailed by the tournament director where I am from. The district made them go through every teams equipment before their first game. LL is very touchy about non-manufacture approved detailing on helmets. Any team who has gone in the past usually will have the certificates on hand from the manufacture getting them re-certified.
I am not sure what the problem is, but some paints weaken the plastic making them unsafe is what I have been told.
