I too bought a new Douglas from Jeff and find it a bit narrow for my build. I'm over 220 and it just seems a little slim.
I'd like to get $100 shipped. It's brand new, never used. Just tried it on a few times at the house and put it back into the original wrapper/box.
Please email me at bstarrett@cox.net if interested.
It's a bulletproof protector for sure, just not quite wide enough. Or maybe it's that I'm too wide;)

I have the same issue, but the West Vest doesn't cover my last two ribs and the 15" Douglas does. It doesn't bother me because in the scissors both arms butt up against the edges of the protector completing the coverage. The collar bone, shoulders and rib cage are the most important considerations. I too feel that they could have put a bit more protection around the edges. I think they were built under the assumption that we're all a bunch of skinny people.:(

You mean "fat boned" I believe! 8O
Quite a contrast from my avatar picture from 1990 and my current physique, huh?

After the hit I took in the arm last weekend that sounded like a tree trunk snapping, can I get some of that fat bone?:-P

Took my CP back to Douglas.
Jeff was wonderful. He offered to add custom plates to my CP in order to make it fit better.
While I didn't take him up on his offer, I was impressed by his desire to put a quality product in my hands almost regardless of the effort required.
Great job Jeff!
