im curious if anybody here has worked the alaska league,an how they would rate it(ny,ne,cape,calif leagues)

I think he is asking how well is the Alaska league?... I know the Cap is #1. but maybe Alaska #2 there really is no way to tell. The NBC National Baseball Congress is having there playoff's right now. there is teams from all over the country. The Cap doesn't participate in this league. Umpire in the MINK league and they have a bunch of D-I players. Really good baseball

Years ago, Larry Young worked in the Alaskan League before going to the umpire school in 1978.

A couple of friends have worked the league and enjoyed the baseball. D1 players from around the country, some long trips between town but through beautiful countryside.
Fun having first pitch at midnight and it is still light.
Pack a jacket.

I would love to work the Alaskan league.
For one thing, it would be interesting to see first hand the faces of actual people who flocked to the polls through ice and snow to elect Sarah Palin as their leader.
