Inside pitch, batter swings and the ball hits his hands and rolls out in front of home plate. Is the ruling the same in NFHS as it is in OBR? If there are runners on base, they return?
Thank you

Yes & yes....contrary to coaches / fans belief...the hands are not part of the bat...I havn't found a bat for sale at the local sporting goods that came with a set of hands attached...have you..

Fall Ball game last night, batter attempts bunt but is foul. Starts shaking and rubbing his left hand as it got a piece of the ball on the bunt attempt. Fully expecting the coach to ask for a HBP but never did. Imagine that. Fact is stranger than fiction.

book,

I haven't found a pair of batting gloves at the local sporting goods store that came with hands attached either, yet if a pitch hits the batting glove it's treated the same as if it hit the hand.

What do you make of that?
