I heard that the PBUC has made a change to this position this year and that they want the umpires not to change over when a left handed batter comes to the plate that they want you in the same position both RH/LH no changing over.

Where on Earth did you hear this from?

What I was trying to explain and maybe didn't do a good job at it and forgot to mention the (SLOT Position) Maybe not a clear post in defining the position. But here is the reply that I recevied from JasonK I had asked the question and here is his reply as it was written back to me. They just don't want the umpires going to the opposite side of the batter anymore. (When it comes to the slot.) That is were I got this information.

Hope that this answers your question sorry for any confusion

This sounds like it has something to do with going over the catcher's outside shoulder (right shoulder on right handed batter and left shoulder on left handed batter), when you are pinched inside by the catcher who wants that inside pitch and a batter who also crowds the plate.

Due to all the concussions, and the fact that you stand a better chance of taking one on the mask looking over that outside shoulder, (just ask Greg Bonin how his career ended) than the inside shoulder, even if you are pinched off, this must be what the OP information is about.
