Just 5 balls outside - - what do you want?!? LOL

it is my understanding (from reading posts elsewhere cuz i don't read the publication) that this type of call is standard operating procedure for FED umpires...at least according to page 28 of the FED umpires maunal.

LOL - I recently received my annual (now it looks like every 2 years) FED Umpires Manual... and promptly gave it to my 4-year-old daughter, so she can have her own "rulebook" too. :)

The guy in the video looks like he has his own version of the 'dirty bird' dance.

And the BU early on in the vid - nice long sleeve jersey underneath a short sleeve! Smitty!
And LOSE the indicator on the bases!

TomClarke: What was it? you say a strikeeeeeeeeeeee.? I think those that were shown are not the way to umpire period. Long sleeve shirt and then short sleeve on top of that. he is a smitty. And the safe call at second what signal is that It the bird dance shuffle.

I am glad that I do not watch to many of those.

Not to be a defender of the Fed Mechanics Manual but this link looks like its from Canada. I dont think they have ever seen the Fed manual either, just bad mechanics no matter the spot in the world.
Up north isnt it striiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike, eh

Yes it is Canada, New Brunswick to be exact. The age division is bantam which is 15 and under. The umpires at this level are either Level 2 or weak Level 3. That would mean they would most likely have less than 5 years experience. Considering the climate in New Brunswick they would probably work less than 60 games a year.

My first thoughts when seeing this it those two umpires do not look like they want to be umpires. I quit counting how many time I saw players running across the field with their helmets removed.
