Did anyone see the play that Moyer made to "retire" the runner at first, but U1 was out of position and called him safe instead? He got, as Jim Evans would say, a great A and E angle on things. Which way should U1 have moved o get a better angle? more towards the first base line or more in towards the field, given his existing position, and around toward the line?
Also, when scoring, does anyone record errors on the umpire?

Yes, he should have came another 2 to 3 steps into the infield where he could see the play, but was just lazy, didn't move quick enough to get there before he had to come set to make the call.This crew is a embrassment to the professional umpire circle, period.

I have to say, this has not been a good WS for that crew. I live in south NJ, just outside of Philly...and of course am enjoying the fact that my Phils are playing.

And as most of my friends know I'm an ump, I have gotten many questions about the calls. I won't bore anyone with the details, but have to admit I enjoy giving what THEY think is an 'expert' opinion :D
