I'm really surprised it was not included in next years rules that Tim C. announced earlier. I bet it will be in the next years unless they get together soon to make it for 2009.

Still plenty of time to implement it for FED. Maybe they're waiting for fall ball to conclude so as to avoid confusion?

Given the NCAA change I don't see how Fed will not be able to do so now. My guess is the discussion is ear flaps or not.

With any kind of luck, they'll enforce both ear flaps and muzzles.

According to what I read, NCAA requires "NOCSAE" certified helmets -- and that means earflaps.
