My association recently decided that our members can now wear uniform numbers. However they did not give us a supplier they would like us to use. I bought all mine through Honig's and they are the "major league" style 3" numbers with the exception of the digits for my Navy and Scarlett shirts they are 4" and completely different style. Anyone have any suggestions where I could find red and navy numbers in the "major league" style?

Thanks for the help.

Has your association given you any guidelines for numbers. It can get really messy. One of the other associations in our area does not regulate their guys numbers so you have different color schemes and different size numbers. It looks very bad. But it also forwarns teams what type of umpiring they're about to get

I am a member of both the Massachusetts Baseball Umpires Association (MBUA), and the Worcester(MA) Area Baseball Umpires Association(WABUA). There is a long story why the WABUA is separate from MBUA, dealing with a strike in the 80s I guess..but I digress. WABUA is the one now requiring numbers and they have given no guidelines. From what I've seen it was done on a whim, with little planning given to it.

Thanks to all who have replied.

Hell no...I got smart and became a snow bird. Now I can umpire 11 months a year.

Grew up around Legion baseball in Worcester though. My grandfather started and ran a pretty successful Legion program in Worcester for a long time. It was going to those games with my grandfather (and I went to a lot of games) and watching the umps that I decided I wanted to become an umpire when I got older.
