First, for 16 year olds:

When someone complains your strike zone is too wide, go with this for the next few pitches:

ExCop-- Love it! But I would disagree on one-- the last one. Move that zone over to the middle of the other batter's box! JB

I'd suggest that the last one be simply extended into the other box. :wink:

I know someone who's got that wide zone, but it has more like the shape of a huge donut. I dunno, but strikes down the middle he doesn't call. Funny to see the look on the batters faces when he always keeps calling strikes that are about one foot off the outside corner of the plate :P
