No, to both episodes. in the HS game, the umpire should have taken off his helmet, who did he think he was, Sir Lancelot joisting at the fair? The coach was dumped and thats the end of that.

Delmon young was ejected and suspended, and thats the end of that....neither are forfeitable events....you deal with them and continue the game.

Why would you even consider forfeit? Easy EJs, yes.

I don't understand; do you always think about forfeiting a game when you eject someone and they keep arguing? The better question (I guess) is have you ever forfeited a game because of an ejection that doesn't go 100% smoothly?

Depending on what ruleset you're using, there are pretty strict limits to what actions might lead an umpire to calling a forfeit.

Neither of these meet that criteria in any ruleset I'm aware of.

In video #1 the Coach hits the umpire in the back, then goes nose to nose with him.

In video #2 the player throws the bat and strikes the umpire.

I would rather let the league think about what to do with an umpire like this (he should not be that emotional), and what to do with the coach (he should not be allowed to coach for quite a while).

Young got his punishment, one of the longest suspensions ever in MiLB. Slowed his Call up down by a few months, thats hard enough. He should have taken steroids, he would have been back earlier!
