I just read an article that this year the asian baseball series that was played in Japan for many years and has sense moved to Taiwan will be played here in Korea this year in November.

The three cities that they are looking at to host this event are Incheon, Seoul and Busan. The reason these three cities are being considered is because the have stadiums that seat approximatley 25,000. This would be a big drawing card for the korean baseball fans as attendance has increased over the years and last year was a very goo year for the (KBO) Korean Baseball Organization.

Korea would have two teams this year entered in this event one being the champions of the Korean Series (Like our World Series) and then the second place team from the league. I think that Seoul will get it but wish Busan they have a real nice stadium.

The Asian Series is going to be played in Busan from Nov 8-11 2012. The champions of the Korean series which is being played as I am typing this. Samsung Lions won the first game 3-1 and are leading in the 7th inning of the second game 8-1 over SK. Which ever team becomes the Korean Champions will represent Korea. Since Busan is the host city the Lotte giants will also represent Korea so korea will have two teams. I am trying to get tickets so I can go.

Well if the Korean team is the last to qualify then the Aussie team must have been the first.

Perth Heat won the ABL in Feb !

The new season on the ABL starts next weekend. Each team plays 40 games - roughly 20 pre-Christmas and 20 after then finals.

All the info is on the web www.theabl.com.au

I don't really know If they were or not the last to qualify but It has been said the the Korean Series Champions are the ones going. But since this is the very first time that Korea is the host for this event and the host city is Busan and they are playing the games in Sajki Stadium the home field of the lotte giants they were added to the pool of play.
