Today, for the second day in a row, I arrived for my game and found an empty field. Yesterday, I accepted my assigner's explanation that there was a scheduling conflict and the league forgot to tell him. Today, I'm starting to think that maybe word has gotten out about how bad my gear smells.

Today, for the second day in a row, I arrived for my game and found an empty field. Yesterday, I accepted my assigner's explanation that there was a scheduling conflict and the league forgot to tell him. Today, I'm starting to think that maybe word has gotten out about how bad my gear smells.

I played HS Football back many years ago. Where we practiced, only 10 years earlier was literally a swamp, that was reclaimed when they built the new elementary school building. When we get into fall, and the rain falls, the entire area gets really muddy and the mud stinks.. BAD.

One of our lineman, in trying to block one of my FG attempts (I was the place-kicker), missed the kick but went flying by the holder, face first into the worst of the mudholes, behind the holder... really bad...

He stunk bad, but then he commenced to NOT wash his practice jersey for 2 weeks. At the end of the second week, he was informed that if he failed to take his practice jersey home and wash it, on monday, we were going to wash it for him....

What he found out, is that the team did in fact was his clothes for him... they forgot to mention the part that he would still be in them at the time... Nobody ever forgot to wash the practice jerseys again.
