For a while there, I thought the PU was by himself. His BU stood and hid. Thats no good by BU. No good at all.

I am not sure what you thought the bu should have done. There was no need to play rodeo clown. It was only backman in the pu's face. The other coach actually made a very lame attempt to get backman away from the pu. I grant the bu did look very timid when he actually did come into the picture.
