| 2008 MID-AMERICAN ADVANCED UMPIRE CLINIC |
| September 18-21, 2008 Hammons Field, Springfield, Missouri
The Mid-American Advanced Umpire Clinic is a clinic designed for umpires who aspire to work baseball at the collegiate level or for those umpires who are trying to advance to the next level of college baseball. The clinic will provide significant information and hands-on training to assist umpires in having a successful career in collegiate baseball.
Clinic instructors will work with umpires in the classroom, on the field and in the batting cages. Umpires will work Junior College baseball games at the Missouri State University Jamboree to enhance mechanics, positioning, and judgment. Students will receive a written evaluation of their performance in accordance with NCAA standards.

| 2008 Jim Evans Caribbean Classic |
October 10-13, 2008Puerto Rico
The training will be offered in the Hiram Bithorn Stadium of San Juan, the 2006 World Cup facilities, from October 10 thru 13 of 2008.
This training will cover the two man system mechanics and rules discussion in classroom. We count with at least 16 instructors in our staff, all graduated from the academy and 8 of them actually working in the Minor Leagues.
Classroom instruction includes a comprehensive survey of the rule book and proper umpiring procedures. In addition, you will participate in open discussions, rap sessions and class competition. Our training is designated to take your amateur umpiring to a new level.
Personal plate stances are evaluated and recommendations made wich will improve your calling of ball and strikes. Jim and his instructors will demonstrate the three most popular stances used in professional baseball and help you understand the advantages and disadvantages of each. You will work with individual instructors and pitching machines to accelerate your learning.
A complete scholarship to the most outstanding student of the training will be granting to attend the academy of Mr. Evans in Orlando, Florida in January 2009.

THINGS TO BRING:
The camp will be geared from umpires working high school baseball or (small college umpires wanting to get on radar) wanting to improve their umpiring skills to those wanting to work their way into small college baseball to those working small college baseball wanting to be seen and work on their skills. Will involve 2-man and 3-man mechanics. Assignors for GLVC conference along with other conferences will be present. If you know of those who have expressed interest in college baseball, presently work college baseball, or who work high school baseball and want to improve their officiating, this is the camp for them and will provide a GREAT opportunity to improve their for them.
